Dr. Scott came to visit around 9:00 and she is fine. Mary's biggest question (actually mine too) was can she bend her knee. He explained yes, she can move anyway she wants even on her stomach (which she is dying to do since that is how she normally sleeps.) she cant hurt anything and it might hurt but go slow and it is better to create a path in the muscle that one of the pins is in. He showed us as well which was nice because it does look intimidating!
She ate a few bites for breakfast then Mary wanted to bend her knee, so we did, then she wanted to turn on her side, so she did, then she wanted to turn on her side more, then straighten her leg, and go back on to her back....i think you get the picture. This was all in minutes maybe even seconds. It was good for all of us to get used to moving it. And then she finally fell asleep! The atavan made her pretty loopy.
Her daddy came back this morning but will take our younger one to the doctor to get her hives checked out since they have spread from her face to her legs. She does love her sister!
