Infection with Keflex Antibiotic

We think the infection looks better and it is less sensitive to touch. We moved to a new antibiotic, Keflex on Tuesday. We would like it to make the infection go away to give us more time as is vs. going in on Oct 4 and getting either a) 2 new pins or b) removing the fixator and putting on a full leg cast. If Keflex doesn't work we have to do one of the two options on Oct 4 because the next step would be an intravenous antibiotic...
